In three short years, the annual Angel City Games have become Southern California’s premiere adaptive sports event, featuring a 4 day festival of clinics, competition, activities and celebration of Paralympic sport. The 2017 edition features five adaptive sports – Swimming, Archery, Track and Field, Wheelchair Basketball and Wheelchair Tennis – and will be held 6/22-25 on the campus of UCLA. Competition is sanctioned by Adaptive Sports USA and USA Track and Field, and results can qualify youth athletes for the National Junior Disability Championships.

Event organizers Angel City Sports focus on creating a fun environment for athletes, families, friends and fans where they can enjoy competitive adaptive sports as well as the unique vibe of Los Angeles. The annual Celebrity Wheelchair Basketball Game has featured Hollywood super stars Adam Sandler and Christian Bale alongside Paralympians, Olympians, NFL greats and UCLA sports alumni. The 2017 event will also feature and Opening Night “Great Games Family Cookout,” Toddler Track & Field events, Kids Fun Zone, live entertainment and more.

Angel City Games is open to athletes of all ages and ability levels and the clinic & competition format allows athletes to get instruction and skills development, and then participate in a competitive environment to push them against the clock, other athletes and most of all themselves. Anyone with a physical disability, mobility challenge or visual impairment can participate.
